How To Use Your Glow Roller and Gua Sha Stone

Step 1: Prep your skin.

Before you reach for your roller, you’ll want to prep your face. You can easily squeeze a facial massage into your nighttime skincare routine by using a glow roller after you’ve applied your Glow Skin Deep Glow Serum to your skin. Looking for a morning pick me up? Wake up and roll to fix puffy skin and give your face an instant boost, or use the roller to spread your serums evenly across your skin before moving on to your moisturizer.

Step 2: Begin with your neck.

The key to glow rolling your neck is to move upwards with gentle pressure. Start at your neck or clavicle and move upwards from there.

Apply gentle pressure to your neck and slowly move upwards. You’ll want to target the sides of your neck and just under your jawline. Press and move slowly up your neck and to the base of your chin. This soft massage gives your neck a stress-relieving massage, while also promoting circulation, which helps with puffiness in your face.

Step 3: Transition to your face.

Whether you’re rolling your cheeks, chin, or forehead, you’ll want to roll outwards, away from the center of your face, towards your hairline, to really get your circulation going. Start on either side of your nose, pushing outwards as you roll. A light touch is key –if you press too hard, the stone could accidentally rupture capillaries and leave you with tiny red marks on your face.

Step 4: Use the small stone for your eye area.

The added dexterity of the small stone makes it easy to target any puffy under-eye circles. Simply roll from the inner corner of your eye out. Since the skin under and above your eyes is extra delicate, you’ll want to use caution when treating these areas–no pressing too hard or rough movements!

Step 6: Using your Gua Sha Stone

Hold the gua sha tool with the curved side to your face and glide it gently up and out, starting with the neck, jawline, chin, and around the mouth, between three and five to ten times per area

Step 6: Clean your roller and Gua Sha Stone.

If you used your roller to apply your Glow Serum, you’ll want to sanitize your roller with soapy water before you tuck it away for later use. Squirt some gentle soap or baby shampoo onto the stone, then roll it under warm water. Finally, roll it out on a towel to dry.

*Store your stones in the refrigerator for best results and cooling sensation.
